Abstract

This paper presents the Bighorn Basin in Wyoming as a significant geological area that strongly supports a biblical Flood model. The author, Michael J. Oard, argues that the basin's features, including the Great Unconformity, thick layers of sedimentary rock deposited during a "Great Deposition," and numerous dinosaur fossils and tracks, are more coherently explained by a global flood event than by standard uniformitarian geology. The article outlines a two-stage flood model to interpret these geological observations and sets the stage for a subsequent part exploring the basin's post-Flood features.
