Abstract
This proposal advocates for equal treatment of creationism and evolution in science education. The author, Henry Morris, argues that while true science deals only with observable, repeatable phenomena, questions of origins are inherently philosophical and religious. He contends that both creationism and evolution are equally "scientific" in that they offer explanatory models but are ultimately faith-based because origins are not scientifically testable. Therefore, he proposes that public schools should teach both models impartially, presenting evidence for and against each, to uphold academic freedom and the civil and religious liberties of students and their parents.
