Abstract
This article describes the remarkable carnivorous capabilities of the bladderwort plant, Utricularia vulgaris. The author details the plant's lightning-fast trapping mechanism, which uses a vacuum to suck in unsuspecting prey in a fraction of a second, even moving its entire trap in the process. This unusual behavior is presented as evidence challenging evolutionary explanations, leading the author to suggest a divine act of creation as the more plausible origin of such a complex system.
