Abstract
The doctrine of social Darwinism is not popular nowadays. But it and Darwinism in nature should stand or fall together; those who reject the former and hold the latter are being inconsistent. Indeed, even nowadays an occasional voice is heard in support of social Darwinism. Here, one such recent attempt serves to initiate a critical investigation of Darwinism generally.
