Abstract
This article reviews creationist literature on thermodynamics and its implications for evolutionary theory. The author, Emmett L. Williams, highlights how creationists leverage the first and second laws of thermodynamics to challenge molecules-to-man evolution. The first law, the conservation of energy, supports the idea of a finished creation, while the second law, dealing with increasing disorder, contradicts the notion of spontaneous, upward evolution. By examining these laws, creationists aim to demonstrate the scientific inconsistencies within evolutionary arguments and promote the concept of an initial creation followed by conservation and degeneration.
